Rapidly Rotating Records Show – November 27, 2016

Last week-end we had the great pleasure to attend the 30th annual West Coast Ragtime Festival in Sacramento, California. Three solid days of six tracks of ragtime and early music and dance from 9AM to the wee hours! It was exhausting, but exhilirating and we enjoyed seeing and hearing old friends and making new ones. So to commemmorate the West Coast Ragtime Festival, this week's brand new edition of Rapidly Rotating Records has but one topic: rags, all rags and nothing but rags! But it's not just an hour of Scott Joplin piano rags as there's a great mix of composers, artists and instruments. And, there are several 78RPM records making their Rapidly Rotating Records debut on tonight's show.
