RRR Show – December 1, 2013

Welcome to "Rapidly Rotating Records", Glenn Robison's weekly, one-hour radio program of "toe-tapping music from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and 30s", broadcast Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM over KISL FM 88.7 Avalon.

This week's brand new edition of the show is sort of a recap of the 27th Annual West Coast Ragtime Festival show in Sacramento, California last week-end. I was fortunate enough to be able to attend, and this week's playlist is made up around songs, topics and events from the festival. We'll do some toddling, get eccentric, do some frolicking, make some promises and hear from Gene and Glenn, Eddie Morton and the Hedges Brothers and Jacobson. And once again, I break the format of the show by playing a contemporary recording. You can see from the playlist below what it is and who it's by, but listen to find out why! As always, just click on the link below to instantly listen streaming online and/or download the show. And as always, your comments, topic suggestions and requests are always welcome. Enjoy!
