RRR Show – June 1, 2014

Welcome to "Rapidly Rotating Records," Glenn Robison's weekly, one hour radio program of "toe-tapping music from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and 30s", broadcast Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM over KISL FM 88.7 Avalon.

Last week's show featured a topic on the word "synecdoche." As I suspect for many people, it was a new word to my friend Bryan Wright, who runs Rivermont Records (www.RivermontRecords.com). In a conversation about the show, he remarked that about 10 years ago when he first started listening to RRR, I created an entire show around the word "pauciloquent," and that he uses that word to this day. So, I decided to play that show again. A few of you, like Bryan, may have heard the original show, but for many of you it will be brand new. As always, just click on the link below to instantly listen streaming online and/or download the show. And your comments, topic suggestions and requests are always welcome. Enjoy!
