Hello Mr. Robison,
What a wonderful find this is for me. I am Leesa (aka. Lisa) Hoefle Martinez, Carl Hoefle was my Grandpa. I am the only child of his son Carl Jr.. This week I have been going through my Grandpa’s old 78’s and sheet music. I always knew about his work in California but wasn’t as familiar with his 1920’s work. Plus, hearing more greater details about his roles with Spike. I have his birth certificate wherein his birthday is listed as May 21, 1998. It is a certified copy that my Grandpa signed. However, everything that is posted about him on line says May 22, 1998. I just thought you might find that interesting. If you have any questions I will try my best to answer them. I was eight when he died. We were extremely close. Although I was young I remember him well. Best wishes to you and thanks, Leesa Hoefle Martinez
Hi, Leesa!
THANK YOU so much for listening, for taking the time to write and for your kind words, not to mention the wonderful information. Your grandpa had a birthday segment on May 19, 2019 show, and I hope the information in his biography was accurate. I know at least I got his birth date correct! Thanks again for listening and posting.
