Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.
On this week’s edition of Rapidly Rotating Records we’re going to take a musical trip down under to Alligator Creek, Queensland, Australia and hear John Hyman’s Bayou Stompers for the first time on the show. In the second segment we’re going to have a tantrum and throw some things. If you like lighthouses–and who doesn’t love lighthouses– in the third segment we’ll visit some lighthouses. If you watch the TV show Wheel of Fortune, you know that in this age of COVID, in order to spin the wheel, contestant use what host Pat Sajak refers to as “the little white thing.” Well, in the fourth segment of the show, we’ll have some rapidly rotating records about some other little white things. And in the final segment of the show, I’ll tell an embarassing story about my granddaughter Allison and we’ll get stung! There’s lots of great music and interesting information, and even perhaps a chuckle or two, so set aside an hour to relax over your favorite beverage and be taken back in time to a different musical era.
ENJOY THE SHOW!
I hope you are all safe and healthy and doing as well as you can be given the current world situation and stay-at-home orders and that this hour of music gives you a bit of diversion and entertainment. Thanks for listening and best wishes!
