Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.
Do you know who this fellow is? He’s bandleader Bobby Byrne and he’ll be starting off the final segment of this week’s show, all about orchids. And speaking of flowers, there’s also a wildflower segment on the show. In other segments, we’ll also reach as high as we possibly can, and hear from a quartet of quartets. The show starts off with an episode of “Compare and Contrast” in which we’ll play songs by Clay Boland and Binkley Reichner and Frank Loesser and Burton Lane. There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era. Click on the player above to listen streaming online and/or download for listening at your convenience.
THANK YOU FOR LISTENING!
