Kitties, Not Kitty Cats! RRR Show #1207 Sept. 3, 2023

Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

Do you know who this fellow is? He was born in the U. S. but spent much of his professional life in England. That’s right! He’s violinist and bandleader Jack Harris. His birthday segment starts off this week’s edition of Rapidly Rotating Records and we’ll also be celebrating Nathan Glantz’s birthday. In other segments, we’ll fall in the well, hear some songs about Kitties and try to answer the question, “What’s that got to do with the price of cotton?” There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era. Click on the player above to listen streaming online and/or download for listening at your convenience.
