Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t not tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.
Do you know who this fellow is? He’s Luther William Ossenbrink. Doesn’t ring a bell? You may know him better as the Arkansas Woodchopper or Arkie. You’ll learn a little bit about him and hear three of his records in the first segment of this week’s show. In other segments we’ll celebrate Ohio’s statehood, take a musical trip down to the mill, hear some songs about the buccal cavity and have a vocabulary lesson. There’s lots of great music and interesting information, so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be taken back to an earlier–and we think better-musical era. Just click on the player above to listen streaming online and/or download for listening at your convenience.
THANK YOU FOR LISTENING!
