A “Surprise” Edition of RRR #1,254 July 28, 2024

Don Voorhees

Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t not tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

Do you know who this fellow is? He’s bandleader Don Voorhees, who is getting his first birthday segment on this week’s edition of the show. You’ll hear some interesting information about him and hear three of his dozens of recordings in the third segment of the show. Dailey Paskman is also getting his first birthday segment this week and in other segments, we’ll have some surprises, get slap happy and hear about some Lizzies. There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era. Just click the link above to listen streaming online and/or download for listening at your convenience.
