A “Morris Chair” Edition of RRR # 1,275 Dec. 15, 2024

Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t not tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

So why is there a picture of a chair on this week’s playlist? Well, that’s not just any chair. It’s a Morris Chair and it’s the answer to last week’s “One Thing in Common” challenge. You’ll find out all about the Morris Chair in the first segment of this week’s show. In other segments, we’ll give it our best shot, have a sorrowful set, do some dancing and have a silky segment. There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era. Just click the link above to listen streaming online and/or download for listening at your convenience.
