Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t not tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.
Do you know who this fellow is? He’s one of the oldest composers ever featured on the show, Henry Russell, born in England c. 1812. You’ll hear a bit about him and hear three of his compositions in the first segment of this final episode of Rapidly Rotating Records for 2024. In other segments, we’ll try to help keep you from violating the law and celebrate Belle Baker’s birthday. She was born considerably after Henry Russell! There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era. Just click the link above to listen streaming online and/or download for listening at your convenience.
THANKS FOR LISTENING! ENJOY THE SHOW!
