A “Quiet” Edition of RRR # 1,278 January 5, 2025

Ace Brigode
Ace Brigode

Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t not tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.

Do you know who this fellow is? He’s one of my favorite bandleaders, Ace Brigode, and we’ll be celebrating his birthday in the third segment of this week’s show with three of his records not heard on the show before. We’ll also be celebrating the birthdays of Julius Lenzberg and Clifford Grey. We’ll start out quietly and end with a musical trip to Georgia. There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era. Just click the link above to listen streaming online and/or download for listening at your convenience.
