Welcome to Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78RPM records of the 1920s and’30s.
Last week we had a birthday salute to a member of The Revelers, Ellitt Shaw. This week we celebrate the birthday of another member of The Revelers, founder and basso profundo Wilfred Glenn. And speaking of The Revelers, we’ll tell you about the exciting work being done by Craig Phillips of The Revelers Project. We’ll also celebrate the birthday of Lou Herscher, take a musical trip to “Bean Town,’ we’ll get tight and listen to this past week in recording history. And we’ll remind you once again about how to get a free one-year, 12 issue subscription to The Syncopated Times, the national newspaper devoted to exploring the worlds of jazz, ragtime and swing. There are at least a couple of records making their RRR debut. If you enjoy the show, please let us know by leaving a comment on the website or the Facebook page or sending an email to Glenn@RapidlyRotatingRecords.com. And remember, your requests and topic segments are always welcome. As always, just click on the link below to instantly listen streaming online and/or download the show.
Enjoy the show!
