Welcome to "Rapidly Rotating Records", Glenn Robison's weekly, one-hour radio program of "toe-tapping music from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and 30s", broadcast Sunday evenings at 6:00 PM over KISL FM 88.7 Avalon.
I came up with a number of topics for this week's show, but couldn't come up with enough records for an entire segment for any of them, so this week, there are not one, not two, but THREE segments of miscellanea, comprised of all those records. In addition, we'll start off the show with COCKTAILS! Well, musical cocktails, anyway. And, we'll celebrate the birthday of Charles L. Johnson. As always, just click on the link below to instantly listen streaming online and/or download the show. And of course, your feedback, topic suggestions and requests are always welcome. Enjoy!

What piece of music do you use to open your show? I think I know it, but it’s driving me nuts because I can’t put my finger on it.
Hi, Jeff
The theme song for the show is “Avalon” by Red Nichols and His Five Pennies from a Brunswick 78 recorded February 25, 1928.
That’s it! Yeah, I had that record on reissue and knew I’d heard your theme song somewhere before.
