Welcome to the 23rd Anniversary Edition of Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you vintage music to which you can’t *not* tap your toes, from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30s.
Do you know who these fellows are? On the right is Carson Robison and in the center is Frank Luther. You hear the two of them regularly on the show, both individually and as a duo. On the right is Phil Crow, a pseudonym for Phil Luther, Frank’s brother. You’ll hear them together on this week’s show as “The Lewis Trio” in the first segment about “happy days.” In other segments, we’ll visit the butcher shop, take a musical trip to Louisville, find out what a cunctator is (!), and fluff some pillows. There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be transported back to a different–and we think better–musical era. Click on the player above to listen streaming online and/or download for listening at your convenience.
