Spring Has Sprung on RRR – March 26, 2023

The Phelps Twins
The Phelps Twins in 1927

Welcome to Glenn Robison’s Rapidly Rotating Records, bringing you “toe-tapping music from rapidly rotating 78 RPM records of the 1920s and ’30.”

Do you know who these lovely ladies are? They’re the Phelps Twins. They recorded only two sides, but you’ll hear both of them in the third segment of this week’s show. In other segments we’ll have not one, but two vocabulary lessons, engage in some foolishness and celebrate Spring. There’s lots of great music and interesting information so set aside an hour with your favorite beverage and prepare to be magically transported to a different–and we think better–musical era. Simply click on the player above to listen streaming online and/or download the show for listening at your convenience.
